“Legion hissed like a startled cat, the noise scraping at Reyes’s skin. “Me no boy. You think me a boy?”Everyone stopped, stared. Even Aeron.Reyes was the first to find his voice. “You’re a…girl?”A nod. “Me pretty.”“Yes, you are.” Reyes exchanged a glance with Lucien. “Beautiful.”

About this quote
In a world that constantly tries to categorize us, we often find ourselves performing roles that were never meant for our souls. We hide our true colors behind masks of expectation, fearing that if people saw the real us, they might not understand. But there is a profound, transformative power in the moment we stop pretending. Like Legion, standing firm in their truth, there is an incredible strength found in reclaiming our identity and refusing to be defined by the misconceptions of others. Embracing your authentic self is not just an act of courage; it is an act of love. When we stop fighting to fit into the boxes others build for us, we create space for genuine connection. There is a unique kind of magic that happens when we allow ourselves to be truly seen—not as the world perceives us, but as we truly are. Let this be your reminder that your beauty lies in your authenticity, and the right people will always celebrate the truth of who you are.
