About this quote
We live in a world that often settles for superficial connections, skimming the surface of intimacy through quick texts and fleeting glances. But Rainbow Rowell’s words remind us of a deeper, more sacred truth about human connection. True love—whether it is the love we receive from another or the profound appreciation we must cultivate for ourselves—is transformative. It is the kind of awe that makes the noise of the universe go quiet, reminding us that we are worthy of a devotion so fierce it feels almost mythic. The ultimate life advice hidden within this beautiful sentiment is to never settle for relationships that merely tolerate your presence. Seek the people, the passions, and the paths that make you feel truly seen in all your breathtaking complexity. You are not meant to be just another face in the crowd; you are a masterpiece capable of inspiring awe. When you find those who look at you and see a beauty that transcends the ordinary, cherish them, but more importantly, learn to look at your own reflection with that exact same reverence.
