About this quote

We often spend our lives waiting for a sign, a green light, or an official nod of approval before we truly step into our power. We hold back our intensity, tuck away our strength, and play small because we are afraid that being fully ourselves might be 'too much' for the world to handle. We wait for permission to be bold, to be loud, and to be unapologetic about our ambitions. But true transformation begins when you stop asking for permission and start granting it to yourself. In a metaphorical sense, the 'license to kill' is the moment you decide to slay the versions of yourself that no longer serve you. It is the courage to end the cycles of self-doubt, to kill the habit of people-pleasing, and to silence the inner critic that keeps you stagnant. This isn't about destruction; it is about the radical act of reclaiming your agency. When you finally embrace your own authority, you realize that the power you were seeking from others has been residing within you all along. Stop waiting for the world to authorize your greatness. The time has come to step into your truth, embrace your fire, and finally live on your own terms.
